We are not obliged to send out an order until we have received payment in full. Online credit or debit card payments made through PayPal are typically instant (although rarely a temporary hold may be placed on a payment by PayPal). We will dispatch your order as soon as possible after your payment has cleared. Be aware that some items (for example those with custom lead options selected) may take longer to prepare - this will be mentioned in the product description section on the website if it is the case.
In most cases items listed on the website are kept in stock and are available to order, unless otherwise mentioned on a product page. When an item is listed as out of stock an option will become available on the item page to be notified by email when it is next in stock.
Orders for items or services not listed on the website will be independently invoiced. Please pay close attention to the line-descriptions of the items you are purchasing, any additional notes, and any associated documents which will form our sales contract with you for such purchases. All relevant sections of these terms and conditions also apply to directly-invoiced orders.
We do not disclose buyers' information to third parties, other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment, or in rare cases of crime prevention. We require a name, address, email address and telephone number when an order is placed. We will not usually use the telephone number ourselves as we communicate primarily through email, but we will pass it on to the delivery company if they require it. You may also provide a separate delivery address if this is different from the invoice address. We use the email address provided as a location to send the order confirmation, and as a means to contact a buyer at short notice should any item queries or order problems arise.
We may contact you to inform you of product or store developments by email but only if you have given permission for this through a check box at the order form/checkout stage or through a 'subscribe to newsletter' field elsewhere on the website. At any time you are able to request removal from newsletter email lists by either contacting us directly or by unsubscribing via a link in each newsletter email.
Our website, like many others, uses 'HTTP cookies' to remember important user information such as basket contents and also to determine which pages are browsed the most and from which regions. Our website relies upon this information to run effectively and as such we cannot offer an opt-out for this. Please refer to this page from the European Commission website for more information.
To make a purchase request you may either browse the website (or our eBay store), add the products you wish to the basket, proceed to checkout, and then confirm your order and payment, or receive an invoice directly from us and make payment for it.
The initial receipt of an online payment is not judged as the point at which a sales contract is accepted as we may still refund the paid amount. When we confirm dispatch of the order then a sales contract between ourselves and the customer becomes binding. This provision is to allow for very occasional instances where an item is over-sold (and so is out of stock) or if we otherwise become unable to fulfil the order.
We are unable to take payments (only order instructions) over the phone and we will never handle customer's card details ourselves (please see 'Payment' below for more details).
All orders are handled in English (en-GB) only.
We cannot be held liable for product breakage or equipment damage if the product we supply is used outside of its specified operating parameters. If you believe an item is faulty and isn't satisfying the product specification then please contact us and we'll seek to resolve the problem as soon as possible. Replacements and repairs are dealt with on a case-by-case basis as we will need to ascertain whether a product fault or the operating conditions are responsible for any problems.
Due to differing rates of expected wear and tear, the period over which we may offer free replacements or repairs will differ between items. Product life expectancy will also vary significantly from application to application and so we are unable to make specific commitments regarding this, only suggested guidance.
Our products are not intended for use in safety-critical applications, we strongly discourage use in such applications and no liability will be assumed for the consequences of their failure in such uses. Further to this, our products should specifically not be used in any way that would affect the operation or control of motor vehicles, rail, aircraft or sea vessels.
We can provide guidance as to whether an item is appropriate for your application but the purchaser will be responsible for ensuring the suitability of the item(s) in the chosen application. Please contact us if you wish to discuss this.
Bespoke items (custom items, those not usually stocked, and items modified-to-order from stock items) are not covered by any warranty unless this is specifically and separately purchased by the customer or otherwise agreed upon.
All orders are charged in £ sterling, GBP.
Prices are displayed both excluding and including UK VAT. Customers ordering from outside the EU or VAT-registered businesses ordering from within the EU are not liable for UK VAT. At the checkout stage if you enter a non-EU shipping country the VAT value should automatically adjust to zero. If you have selected an EU country for your order you will be offered the option “Are you registered for VAT in the EU?”, if entering a VAT number here please preface it with your country code, for example ‘GB’.
Each website order confirmation email may serve as a VAT invoice where VAT has been charged. Please contact us if you would like a VAT invoice to be sent to you in PDF format.
Prices on product or category pages of the website do not include postage and packaging, for which prices are given at the basket/checkout stage.
Delivery/Shipping methods may be selected at the 'shopping basket' or 'checkout' stages. The methods offered will depend upon a combination of the destination country, order weight and order size (volume). We reserve the right to use a different carrier to that requested but only if the alternative method is at least as fast and includes the same insurance cover.

Be aware that claims for non-arrival of goods should be made within 7 working days of order dispatch for UK orders or within 18 days for international orders. If a package has been lost we will work with the customer and delivery company to track it down, and if necessary obtain the relevant compensation and/or send a replacement.
We offer three main methods of payment: credit or debit cards, PayPal, or bank transfer.
Card payments are either handled by Stripe (our default card payment processor as of December 2016) or by PayPal. At no point do we manually process or save payment cards, these details are communicated to the payment processors via a secure encrypted connection.
Since we do not use our own card terminal we will never ask for your card details directly, either by telephone or email. To pay for an invoice we may send you a link to a payment page where you can complete the payment process online via a secure connection to our payment processors.
We are also able to accept payment by bank transfer - if you select this method in the online shopping basket then we will contact you shortly after your order with the relevant details. Bank transfer payments can take longer to reach our account, so if you need your order to be processed quickly then card payments are the better option.
In the event that you are unhappy with our service then please contacting us with your complaint and we will endeavour to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
We may offer an option of a full refund or a replacement for a faulty item (or a product which does not fulfil its design specification) so long as there is an explanation from the customer of the perceived problem and we can be sure that any faults did not occur through inappropriate use or normal wear-and-tear.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 customers buying from an EU country (including the UK) may return an item within 14 days of receipt for a refund, provided it is in as-sent condition (in the case of a product having been used we may sometimes offer a reduced refund based upon condition, though it isn't our statutory obligation to do so). It is at the customer's expense that any items should be returned. The right-to-return under this act does not apply for bespoke items (custom items, those not usually stocked, and items modified-to-order from stock items), so do bear this in mind when ordering.
