Gimson Robotics: ABOUT US

The Automated Systems Specialist

The Automated Systems Specialist

From our start in 2011, we have grown to become one of the most prominent suppliers of linear actuators and associated electrical and mechanical hardware in the United Kingdom, releasing many exclusively-developed products along the way. The company was founded and is managed by Ewan Gimson, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Bristol, and inherits a family tradition of work in design and technology industries.

From our Bristol-based industrial unit, what sets us apart is our diverse development capability, with experience covering both mechanical and electrical aspects of automated systems. Many of the products we sell are exclusively designed and developed in-house, and we regularly deliver bespoke solutions for commercial clients across a wide range of industries.

We're a small team made up exclusively of engineers and technicians, with no sales or marketing staff. That means when you contact us, you're speaking directly to the people who design, build, and test the products. Decisions happen fast, and nothing gets lost in translation. Our size makes us agile and fast to respond to new technologies, including the use of AI to improve our internal processes and products.

Why Gimson Robotics

What Sets Us Apart

End-to-End In-House Capability

Mechanical design, electronics, firmware development, PCB prototyping, and testing, all under one roof. No subcontractor chains or communication breakdowns.

Speak Directly to Engineers

Our team is made up exclusively of engineers and technicians, no sales or marketing staff. When you get in touch, you're speaking to the people who know what they're talking about.

Many of our off-the-shelf products started as custom client solutions. You benefit from components that have been proven in demanding real-world applications.

Competitive, Transparent Pricing

As an online-focused, lean operation, we offer significant time and cost savings over larger engineering firms, without cutting corners on quality or support.
