Ruggedised Actuator Controller
A client's locking systems were suffering repeated linear actuator failures with another supplier's components. We found the causes and solved them with our own actuators and a new purpose-built controller, both saving the client money and improving system reliability.
Automated TV Cabinet
We were commissioned to develop a bespoke wheeled cabinet for the rapid deployment of a television display, for pitch side VAR. We handled everything from concept drawings, CAD and electrical design to final assembly, delivering a fully working prototype.
Custom Actuator Development
A client needed a fast, self-locking linear actuator in a smaller package than any off-the-shelf option. We developed a custom lead screw, gearbox and brushless motor assembly, supplied in two transmission configurations for testing.
Appliance Control System
We helped to develop a new and improved main control board for a client's washing appliance. Starting from a review of the existing system, we delivered PCB design, a TFT display and membrane button interface, and custom firmware.
Synchronised Control Systems
One of many 4-way actuator systems that we have supplied the actuators and controller for, most commonly towards motorhome bed lifts. In this example, customised stainless steel push button controls are combined with a key switch to help restrict use to authorised personnel only.
Environmental Monitoring
We provided market and mechanical research, along with prototype design, parts sourcing and manufacturing services to a university seeking to develop a new environmental monitoring platform.
Roof Lift Column Actuators
A client needed to raise/lower the extendable roof of their van, too heavy to lift manually. We supplied four customised heavy duty telescopic column actuators, along with a 4-way synchronising controller to automate the lift.
Thermostatic Switch Controls
Our customer was looking for a thermostatic switch solution for operating a large DC fan motor. We undertook rigorous accelerated life cycle testing and market research to supply a reliable solution at much lower cost than off-the-shelf alternatives.
Device PC Application Interface
A client development project included developing a custom PCB for motor control and load cell reading. We created a companion PC application to both control the device over USB and to show live and recorded data from it, also allowing reports to be exported as PDFs.

Can we buy a single unit to evaluate first?
Absolutely. Our standard products can be bought online in small quantities for UK delivery, so your engineers can try one in your application before we discuss an OEM version. International customers can contact us to arrange an evaluation order.
Is there a minimum order quantity for customised versions?
This depends on the customisation. Simple changes such as cable lengths and connectors suit small batches, while custom firmware or enclosures usually need a larger batch to be cost-effective. We'll go through your specification in detail so we can quote accurately, including price breaks.
Can we schedule deliveries over the year?
Yes. We can accept purchase orders committed up to a year ahead, delivered in scheduled batches. That secures your supply and spreads the cost across multiple deliveries.
Will you work under an NDA?
Yes, we're happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share details of your product. Much of our client work is confidential, which is why the examples on this page are anonymised.
Do you supply businesses outside the UK?
Yes. EU and other international orders for commercial customers are arranged directly with us rather than through the online shop, so please get in touch.
What about compliance and certification?
We've built up practical experience of EMC, RoHS and UKCA/CE requirements through our own products and client projects, and we share it when developing new products with you. We are able to undertake compliance reviews when working on development projects, which can steer a design in the right direction at an early stage to help prevent costly design changes further down the road. Building with pre-assessed components, such as many of our motors and controllers, can make certifying your own product quicker.
